Michael Wayne "Mikey" Peterman Obituary (2021)

Michael "Mikey" Wayne Peterman, Jr., age 34 of Carbondale, passed away on May 16, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on May 8, 2021. Michael was born on July 14, 1986 in Carbondale the son of Michael Wayne, Sr. and Mary (Schoolcraft) Peterman. He is survived by his parents; his children, Saydi, Ien, Qwinn, and Alyssa; his sister, Melissa; brother, Matthew and wife Kelly; niece, Lauren Nicole; and fiance, Marie Hollenbeck. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Ella Peterman and Bill and Virginia Schoolcraft; and numerous aunts and uncles. Michael was an auto mechanic and loved working on cars. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He went out of his way to help people, and make others laugh, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his kids, whom he loved with all his heart. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on June 19, 2021 at Evergreen Park in Carbondale.
